Geography Lesson Focus: Using OS Maps
In our Geography lessons, year 7 have been developing essential map-reading skills using Ordnance Survey (OS) maps. This is a key part of the Geography curriculum and supports both practical life skills and critical thinking.
We will link these skills to real-world scenarios, helping pupils see how maps are used for travel, planning routes, and understanding their local and wider environment. Working with OS maps also strengthens problem-solving, spatial awareness, and confidence in reading information independently.
We’re excited to see pupils grow into confident young geographers!
